Do you need financial support attending Take Back Tech? Make sure you apply to the Solidarity Fund instead of purchasing a ticket. We are committed to creating a space that is reflective of the diversity in our communities. That’s why we are officially launching a Solidarity Fund for folks who want to join us in Chicago but need support with travel, lodging and registration. Limited funds will be allocated as applications come in, so don’t wait!
Why now?
This year’s gathering is coming at a crucial time. Tech is militarizing borders and increasing the power of the police. AI is aiding in the genocide of Palestinians. Globally, half the world’s population will experience national elections that will be shaped by mis and disinformation. Location data is used to target people who access health services like abortion. The world’s wealthiest people are tech bros at a time when our communities are struggling to make ends meet. We are at a crossroad, and we need stronger strategies and relationships to reclaim technology for our people.

Take Back Tech is a gathering for organizers, advocates, academics, and workers who are looking for a space to deepen the connections and strategies we'll need to combat technology's worst harms.

SUPPORT TAKE BACK TECH II
We will be offering travel scholarships to organizers in the US and internationally. Your donation will go directly to the scholarship fund to bring as many people to the convening as we can.
